Drs. Ross and Nelson
Dr. Marc H. Ross (left) is a native of Meriden, Connecticut and an alumnus of Northwestern University (B.A., Biology, 1974). In 1982, he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri. During his time there, he was elected into the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society and received the college’s senior ophthalmology award.
In addition, Dr. Ross is also a past president of the Hartford County Veterinary Medical Association and a past member of the executive board of the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Ross has a special interest in the evolution of car design (especially of the 1950s) and during the nice weather, likes to ride in a 1956 DeSoto Firedome — the “official” car of Charter Oak Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Ross has owned many pets — Josie’s memory remains in our hearts.
Dr. Randall S. Nelson (right) is originally from Howard Beach, Queens, New York City and an alumnus of Ohio University (B.S., summa cum laude, Zoology, 1972). He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 from University of Parma, Italy. From there, he continued post-graduate studies in New York City in 1983 at the Animal Medical Center.
In 1998, Dr. Nelson completed a Master of Public Health degree at the University of Connecticut, where he was also elected into the Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society.
In addition to his family, Dr. Nelson currently lives with “Biggy,” a Chihuahua, running the household.
